My copyright info is not displayed on my stills.

I have set copyright function in my menu but it does not appear on my finished still images

It shows in the image EXIF metadata, not ON the image itself.

Something overlaying or on the image itself is a WATERMARK, which is what you're describing. No sane photographer would want every capture stained with a silly copyright. It'd be like tattooing your name on your forehead. Might make sense today but 3 days from now when it doesn't it's impossible to get rid of.
