Connect A7iv with Imaging Edge Mobile on Android

Hi guys, has anyone managed to connect the A7iv to an android phone for remote still shooting? Connection via bluetooth was successfully paired but the app keeps saying cannot connect to camera, despite it is connected.

I‘m new to this camera as well and on iOS but had the same difficulty. As I understand you have to use the WiFi connection for the remote control. Needed a few tries to come up with that QR code on the camera screen to pair the phone with the cam.

Hi, I have a similar issue here. Even though the camera sees the mobil phone, it's unable to pair/connect. I'm pretty sure this started after I updated to the last firmware version 1.11. Let's wait for Sony to fix it as it's impossible to downgrade. Good luck.

Same thing, can't connect to my camera (a6500) after latest udate. Camera is recognized but fails to connect with all available options.

Ok. I made it work, if anyone's interested. After starting the app and trying to pair (when you see that message) on your phone...... On your camera go to Menu/Network/Transfer/Remote/PC Remote Functions/PC Remote and set it to off. Now you should be able to use the IE app.
