The Sony A&RV lacks the flexible spot focus. So it is not possible with the central wheel to change the focus. Also, I can't assign magnifier to a key. I haven't read this in any test.

Might be that Spot focussing is disabled under 'Focus Area Limit' in your camera.

Might be that Focus Fagnifier is disabled if Auto Magnifier is enabled, as shown in above picture.

From A6000 to A7RIV you can find flexible spot in the manual. With al this models you could after making your composition you was able to change the spot focus S a little bit by moving the spot with the central wheel. I find no way to do this with the A7RV. Now I change the focus from AF to MF and with the magnifier I change focus.

In the A7Rv, that function is just called (Expand) Spot focus, no longer called Flexible Spot. You can use the thumbstick or the touchscreen to position the focus point.

I found the new button multi-selector. With this you can change focus as with the flexible spot. You can set magnifier to the centre of this button. Only that is not working at the moment.

Focus magnifier doen't work in AF mode, or when Auto Magifier in MF is enabled.

Very interesting, - what autofocus lenses (especially macro) support Focus bracketing for this camera?
