Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS II. Question for owners of this lens

Hello.  I recently received the new, second-generation version of the Sony 70-200mm G Master f/2.8 lens.  For those of you who have been lucky enough to get one of these lenses, can you tell me if you notice the following:

When moving the zoom ring from 200 towards 70, or from 70 to 200, when you first begin to turn the zoom ring, do you notice a small amount of play or give before you feel the mechanism engage the zoom mechanism?  On mine, it seems like there is a very minute amount of slop when you first begin to turn the ring or immediately change direction.  With my first generation 70-200 GM, there was no play and it engaged immediately.

Aside from this minor issue, the lens appears to function quite well, although I have yet to put it through any serious testing or outdoor shooting.

Sorry if I don't appear to be explaining this too well.

I've been using this lens quite a bit for a month and have not experienced any play in the zoom ring.  Perhaps you got a bad copy.

I see no wobbling or play on my copy of Sony GM 70-200/2.8 Mk2.Yet when starting from 70mm,there is a tactible feeling like the zoom mechanism is switching on.
