A7C - P mode and auto iso issue

I'm having a problem shooting in P mode & hope it's a user error. If I point the camera out the window where it's bright & do the same in a dark room the aperture is always wide open and the shutter speed is 125. This never changes. Ever. The only thing changing is the iso, which I have set to auto. When I manually set the iso the p mode functions normally, both the f-stop & ss change.

Is there an issue using p mode and auto iso or do I need to reset the camera?
