A1 wireless trigger use with electronic shutter

It's my understanding so far that the A1, using electronic shutter, does not send a signal to the pc port or the centre pin of the hot shoe? If this is correct, does anyone have a work around for this to enable me to use a generic non-dedicated transmitter that has just the single centre contact point? I know that a dedicated transmitter will work as it uses the Sony Multi Interface.
