I saw a post elsewhere concerning sensor cleaning on a Sony 6400.

This got me thinking: what routine maintenance do people do on their kit?

I use the sensor cleaning before a shoot (and after if it has been dusty) by taking the lens off and pointing the camera down as I click the sensor cleaner.

I check and clean the lens(es) I'm going to use. Then after the shoot I upload my images and re-format the cards and stick the battery on charge. Wipe off the gear, particularly if damp or dusty.

Gear is stored in airtight plastic boxes with Silica gel sachets in the box.

What do others do?

I may "under do it", but some folks "over do it".

Getting into the habit, means I have checked my kit and am confident of not being caught out. It only takes a minute!

Èt's just like doing pre-start checks on machinery at work - except it's quicker and the consequences of not doing it are not a danger to life or limb.
