A7r IV AWB & Exposure Issues

Recommended Posts

Ok, so just bought this beautiful camera and had no issues in testing, so took my first fashion shoot.

The pictures are stunning in quality, but the camera absolutely butchered AWB and exposure. Many pics are underexposed and have a yellowish tint, while others have a magenta tint. They are all over the place. No consistency. I've never had a camera do so poorly in this regard. Even my Samsung phone has consistent AWB results on the same shoot. (Was shooting with 5500K continuous light).

Ok, so now I've read and learned that I should have set the WB manually (I'm fairly new to this).

Luckily, I did output RAW files, so at least the images are recoverable.

This leads me to my main questions:

1) What is the best way to develop these RAW files? Lightroom? Capture One Pro? Something else?

2) Is there anyway to batch process temp, tint, exposure on these 1500 images without having to adjust by eye one-by-one (and get good results)? Is the WB and exposure values used by the camera recorded in EXIF data anywhere? Any way to compensate for what camera did? Anyway to speed this process considerably?

Thanks!
