Am I alone in mourning the demise of in-camera GPS for geotagging?

I love having GPS on my a99 and miss not having it on my a68 (although this is not so bad as I use my a68 for wildlife rather than travel/landscape photography.

One of the reasons I drag my feet in upgrading to e-mount cameras is the lack of GPS.

I know you can geotag via a smartphone - but I don't have one and don't want one. - I rarely use my non-smart mobile phone as it is, and certainly don't want to be disturbed by phone calls, texts etc when out taking photos!

I understand GPS used to be slow to find satellites, but that is old hat. I also understand that GPS can detain batteries- but most photographers carry spares, don't they? Or they turn off GPS if battery life is more important than geotagging.

Have there ever been e-mount cameras with GPS?
