Sony 24-240 for Nature Photography?

I was out hiking today with my 70-300 mm lens on a A7C body. I also have an A7RIV body. I Missed several shots because 70 mm was too long for some shots and I didn't have time to change lenses. I'm considering the 24-240mm, which is of less quality.

What is your opinion?

Think I've suggested this before when you asked a similar question about getting the 18-200 for APS-C, but I'm going to make the same suggestion again: have you considered supplementing your A7Riv with an RX10iv? You often seem to have a need for versatility. The RX10 is just that.

Try and see.  I prefer massive bokeh or it just isn't worth it.
