Under exposed images when imported into lightroom

Hi there, 

I'm new here and I'm hoping someone can help me. When I take a shot on my A7iii, i get a picture on my backscreen as usual at the settings i shot it at, then when i drop it into Lightroom, the image goes very dark and under exposed. I understand that the image on my camera is only a jpeg and wont be the RAW that goes into Lightroom but the image automatically goes really dark. Its been driving me mad for a while now. Hopefully someone can help.
