Help me with my a7ii!

Hello! 

I am having trouble charging my batteries, and as you know, batteries are charged while in the camera. The usb cable does work, the camera responds to it when it’s connected to my MacBook. But it won’t charge my batteries. I’ve tried using the wall outlet and a computer but the battery light don’t turn on and the batteries won’t charge.

 

has anyone else had this problem? I’ve contacted Sony costumer service but they are slow at getting back to me.
