Noise reduction software

I shoot with an A9 and an A6500. I'm looking at Topaz DeNoise A1 but I hear that it doesn't recognize RAW files. True or False? Whats everybody using for noise reduction software other than what Lightroom does? Plug in or stand alone? TIA

I have been using Topaz DeNoise for about a year as a plug-in with Capture One 20 to process images from my a7rIII. No problem with DeNoise opening my AWR files but note that the modified file cannot be saved in the original format but as a tiff file. By and large the results are truly excellent and well beyond the native noise reduction capabilities of most image processing apps.
