recommend me a 500mm mirror lens please for a mount

can anyone recommend me a good 500mm mirror lens in A mount

is there any that give good sharp pictures or is it better to get say a 2x converter and use with a 200mm or 300mm lens?

thanks, if i'm better with a sx converter which ones are good for picture quality please?

One of the best mirror lens would be a Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 55B or 55BB. http://www.adaptall-2.com/lenses/55B.html

The comparison tables in the link above suggest the Minolta 500 mm f8.0 would be a good choice as well and you won't have to fiddle around with an adapter either!  As for the image quality between a mirror lens and 2x TC plus 200-300mm lens, too many variables to say yay or nay.  Generally, a first rate 1.4x TC plus a fast 300mm MF lens would give you superior image quality than a mirror lens but the cost for them would be a few times higher too.

so other than the Sony 2x and 1.4x which other converters are good please ? sigma, tamron?
