Tamron 70-180 weird bokeh effects

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone this is my first post on these forums!

I just received my Tamron 70-180, this lens is SHARP. I love it, however I noticed a few of my images had this weird watery bokeh effect, (near my subjects head) I don't know if it's a defect or normal in the conditions I shot in.

I had an ad400 and an ad200 firing. I was also trying to shot through some leaves...my first thought was maybe I was not in the Minimum focus distance? for the leaves to register correctly? Even tho they'd be bokeh'd out....

Out of about 50 shots 5 had this weird bokeh...

Any ideas?

I like the photo. To me I don't think anything is wrong with the lens. I would not have thought anything looked watery either. Perhaps what you're seeing has something to do with perspective or subject placement in relation to the background?
