Focus peaking needs a toggle. If I'm shooting a scene with plenty of branches and trees, there's so much peaking display that I can't see to compose my image. A button to turn it off for a moment would be greatly appreciated.

Tethered my A7III to my Macbook Pro using usb C cable. Working fine. Then I notice there is an update for Imaging Edge. Download it, install it and then... Sony Imaging edge is now telling me " The document A7300001.ARW could not be opened. Imaging edge desktop cannot open files in the "Sony ARW raw images" format. If I change from recording raw to jpeg in camera, it gives me the exact same message, but substitute ARW with jpeg. Is this a bug ? can I roll back to a previous version of IE ? No settings were changed on the camera between working with old IE version and new version. -

Try both the camera and flash in full auto and see if it still does the same thing. Odds are you running everything in manual is causing some conflict. Images that are darker on one half are the result of an out of sync shutter/flash. I've used a 350S on my A7 IV and have never had a problem, but I have never tried it with focus bracketing
