Flash not firing on A7R II

I got a used A7R II yesterday and am trying to get a Godox TT600S flash to work with it. I tried everything in Manual and Auto Modes, but couldn't get the camera to recognise the flash. Is there a secret to get the flash working with these cameras? or I need to get it repaired :(.

I have read online that silent mode needs to be off. I have checked the setting is off already.
