Sound after turning off my a6500

I recently purchased my a6500 and always I turn it off, after 2 or 3 seconds, a sound is heard, like a slight "toc". Is this normal? Could it be some mechanism to park the sensor or something similar?

Always or occasionally? About once every couple of weeks the camera takes a photo with the shutter closed when you turn it off, to map hot pixels on the sensor. This should only be occasionally but otherwise acts as you describe.

Mine has this slight toc too.

My theory: it is locking the IBIS mechanism and securing the sensor.

Based on your observations I checked mine and it does the same. It's a fairly mute sound so haven't ever payed attention to it. Your theory sounds plausible, I feel a very mild shake in the camera at the same time, so something is indeed moving. I'd say it's perfectly normal.

Thanks for your replies. This morning, I've been in the store to test this behavior on another a6500, and it was the same. I guess indeed it's some mechanism to lock the sensor once the camera is turned off. This happens about 3 or 4 seconds after power button is switched off.
