Sport Scoreboards

Recommended Posts

When shooting team sports, I have an highly increased rate of blank scoreboards in the photo when using my A9 v my legacy Nikon. It was annoying with the Nikon and infuriating with the Sony. I use the scoreboard data for play documentation throughout a match. I presume the loss of display in the photo has to do with refresh rate and/or the light frequency emitted from the scoreboard relative to the A9 sensor specs and shutter speed (continuous 1000+). The best solution I've come up with is to slow the shutter speed but that is in conflict with the desired stop-action photo. Has anyone else explored this and can perhaps offer a different solution?
