Setting Custom Color for Recall 1 & 2

On my A6500, if I set the Mode to "M", I'm able to set the Custom Color 1-3 settings. However those Custom Color settings are not available for setting up Recall 1 & 2. I can use the Custom Temperature/Filter, but that defeats setting up the Custom Color settings.

Is this just the way that Sony intends Custom Colors to be used - just in the "M" mode? Or have I missed something?
