Sony G-Master Zooms do NOT focus at full aperture

I have 9 lenses for my A7r iii & iv. The ONLY ones that DO NOT open to full aperture for autofocusing in AF-S (none do in AF-C, of course) are the 24-70 f/2.8 (so-called G-Master) and 70-200 f/2.8 (also G-Master). They also happen to be the most expensive lenses in my collection. Even the very affordable 24-240 f/3.5-6.3 can do this.

To put it bluntly, WTF, Sony??
