from uncompressed raw to jpg

Hello friends,

Can anyone explain to me how it is possible that when you shoot in raw uncompressed creating 80 mb files (compressed: 40 mb), after exporting it through Lightroom into jpg, the final jpg files are only 20 mb big, practically the same as for an compressed file?
