Colors washed out

Hi,
I recently purchased an a6400 with 18-135 lens. I'm enjoying it but getting poor results when shooting bands under deeply colored lights - especially magenta. The results are very flat , low contrast/saturation. I'm shooting movies but tried some still shots and got the same result. I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Spent the last two nights trying all the picture profiles. PP1 and PP2 work best and Still actually works better than anything else including Movie. But none come close to the actual colors.

I tried adjusting Saturation but that didn't help. Looking for solutions. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
