Will Tamron 100-400mm lens work on Sony A7III with Metabones Adapter?

Hi.  I didn't see this posted so thought I'd ask it here.  I want a 100-400mm lens for my Sony A7III but can't afford any of the Sony lenses.  I was wonderinig if anyone could tell me if the Tamron 100-400mm f/4.5-6.3 Di VC USD Lens for Canon EF would work if I paired it with my Metabones EF-E mount T adapter?  I have tried asking Metabones, Sony, and Tamron but got no response.  B&H and Adorama didn't really seem to know.  Any help anyone here could give would be greatly appreciated.  TIA

Have you had any luck? I can't seem to find a lot of info on this Lense with an adaptor on the Sony.

There is also the option of the Sigma 100-400...

I am using the Tamron 100-400 with the A7R3, I am finding that it works great.

It grabs focus really well but sometimes struggles with lower light but using Auto ISO seems to address that issue.

I came from Canon 80D to Sony and was (and still are) unable to afford a Sont 100-400.

I can't speak of the Tamron 100-400... but the Sigma 100-400 (w/ Sigma MC-11 adapter) works great on my A6400.
