Hey! I got my new a6400 yesterday. So far I'm in love.

Can anyone give me a step by step on how to assign toggling from viewfinder to monitor to a button? I keep reading the manual and it looks like I have found the answer. Then I hit a dead end.

Thank you so much!

Hi Bill

It's fairly easy to setup.

Go to page 8 on the second camera tab in the menu and choose "Custom Key" for either photo or video. Then choose the button you want to assign it to and find the one called "Finder/Monitor Sel."

And there you go, hope it helps ?

The only thing on this is, even though it says it turns the monitor off, it just doens't display anything on the monitor, but the back light stays on.  There is an option in the menu to turn it off, but not with the custom button.
