I agree on leaving more room. It's definitely easier when shooting in landscape orientation.

I love hummingbird shots where there is some wing blur. Some people are so intent on freezing the hummingbird wings and often by blasting the poor bird with multiple flashes and I personally think those shots are lacking. It's one of those subjects and shots when it's great to show the movement in the wings. Unless of course the hummingbird is not flying but sitting on a tree.
