  1. A number of people have made videos and forum posts with their criticisms of the upcoming Sony a6300. But I didn't find the entire set of questions that I had about the camera. (Which I think is weird given Sony's penchant for nasty, A7RII/RX100IV-style overheating problems and the a6000's own little "Gotcha!"s). So I created my own set of videos. Hard Questions is the second one in a series and it asks: 1. How much 4k will we actually be able to shoot? 2. Wifi remote video (still) doesn't work on the a6000... will it work on the a6300? (And why doesn't it work on the a6000 again?) 3. People have already used this camera: Why has nobody compared the body to the a6000? In terms of feel... weight... etc... 4. Legacy issues: Sony's ancient wifi suite, and menus that haven't changed very much since the NEX5 six years ago. Will there be anything new in that department? Or are we looking at more of the same. So here it goes (video below). My first post on SAR. Hope you enjoy it. Happy to be here.
  2. I have an NEX 6 camera and a Nexus 7 Android tablet. I want to wirelessly video connect the camera to the tablet. I don't want to transfer pictures, just live video. I did it once but can't do it again. Thanks Rumplestiltskin
  3. Anyone using a Wi-Fi extender successfully with the a7R4?
  4. Is it possible to configure an automatic transfer of images? I'd like to have it such that every photograph taken by the camera is sent to the app on the computer. I'm currently setting up a time lapse with the syrp genie mini and I was wondering if it was possible to auto send the photo every time, so I can do higher res images.
  5. I just had my new Arsenal intelligent camera assistant arrive today and when I tried connecting my A7ii to the internet it would connect to the router using WPS but then kept displaying an error that it could not connect to the internet and to check network settings. I have Firmware v4.0 on the camera I have tried to different wifi connections. To my main router (Netgear Orbi Pro both 5g and 2.4g) and to another 2.4g Netgear running as an access point from the router. All my many other devices work just fine. I even tried using my phone as a wifi hotspot and same problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as the new gizmo uses the Sony Remote Camera app and I need to connect to the internet to get the latest version
  6. Hello, I am wondering whether there is an app to control my Sony a 6000 with my iPhone. What I need: something like the smart remote control app from the playmemories app but with a built in intervalometer (like timelapse) I want to program the camera to take for example one photo every second, but I also need a live view and want to change settings like aperture, iso, shutter and so on. The smart remote control app only has a 2s and 10s timer and it will then only take 1 shot. I want it to take 1 shot every second for a certain period of time, without losing focus (with AF and face recognition ON). Thx for your help guys :)
  7. Good morning from Spain, I am the happy owner of a Sony A7, got it mainly to shoot timelapses together with my Canon 5D Mark II. I use WiFi remote control app installed on Sony when shooting timelapses, battery consumption is higher while in WiFi mode and live view screen is enabled. The problem I have is that once the A7 is paired with my tablet via WiFi, the camera won't let me change anything, not even turning on the live view to save battery I have customized one of the buttons to turn off live view, I press it and nothing happens Anybody knows a way to turn on/off live view monitor when the A7 is shooting and remote controlled externally via WiFi? Thanks in advance for your time. Greetings from Spain Alfonso
