  1. I'm looking for an external mic for my a6500. I actually already bought a Rode VideoMicro just yesterday based on some good reviews but I'm already questioning whether it's what I need. Basically I'm planning to record some drag racing and I know from experience that these events can be incredibly loud but the problem is that the signal i'm getting from the Rode VideoMicro is very strong, I'm almost able to clip the microphone on the lowest gain level setting in the a6500 menu just by clicking my fingers near it. I'm not sure if I'm missing something in the menu or if I really need to get a more high end microphone with gain attenuation built in so I can reduce the signal at the microphone end. Does anyone here have any experience recording motorsports with Sony Alpha cameras using external mics?
  2. Hey This is my first post. Just bought my first digi camera less than week ago (Sony a6000 with SELP1650 for 190€). I did try to search but I did not find what I was looking for. If there is already topic about this feel free to link it here and I will delete this thread. So I study communications and me and my friend have a plan of shooting a "0budget" interview/documentary about drugusers life on street. Here in Finland is so dark during these winter months that I need lense that has good F-value. The current lense has f3.5 when not zoomed. What is the cheapest zoom lense that you guys would recommend for my purposes? And how about some cheap wide angle prime lenses for this type of videography? Thank you, FinnishNoob
  3. https://www.behance.net/gallery/42765229/Deep-Blue My photos and video from a recent trip to Lithuania.. I had just bought the camera, so what you see is me learning how to use it and experimenting One sel35f18 fixed lens and the Sony a6300 Playing with the settings, filming and snapping some pictures, but most of all creating a visual diary. A love letter to noone. Song name : Brian Eno - Deep Blue Day Hope you enjoy, comments welcome!
  4. Has anyone successfully rigged up this gimbal setup? Currently having quite the time... Gimbal: Ikan Beholder EC-1 (Holds up to 4.5lbs) Camera: Sony A7sii (1lb, 6oz) Lens: Sony Vario Tessar Zeiss 24-70/f4 (15oz) Additional: Sony XLR-K2M XLR Adapter kit (13.1oz) Any thoughts or links that might be helpful? I've watched the Ikan setup video but they use a 35/2.8 lens and no XLR mount.
