Hello everybody, over the weekend I camped in the alps on top of an hill using my new Sony FE 70-300mm with my Sony A7s. Back home I was processing my pictures as always using Lightroom. Lightroom found the correct lens profiled and applied all settings. Looking through my processed pictures I realized especially on dark pictures like the sunrise and the moon some distracting color rings. I've added two pictures which I've over processed a little bit to show these distracting color rings. Does anybody have the same problem or is this normal for such a telephoto lens? I've never had such a problem before. Maybe somebody can answer me. Cheers Paul

Sunrise (clouds too thick to see) along South Carolina coast in a light rain. Shore erosion has caused the beach to retreat into the forest. Taken at Botany Bay Wildlife Refuge, South Carolina (USA). A7 Mark II with Zeiss 2/25 Batis taken at 10 seconds, f6.3, ISO 100. Developed in Lightroom 6 and NIK Silver Efx Pro 2.

Florida Sunrise I took a early morning off while in Jupiter, Florida and headed over to Coral Cove Park. This was my first time there and only had a hour, great location. 30 Second exposure with the Sony A7RII, 24mm Ziess lens on the very compact Vanguard Veo tripod, processed in Capture One.© ©Floyd Dean 2016

Woke up early to reach this particular area of Siem Reap for the sunrise. And it was well worth the effort. It started raining while on the tuk tuk on the way to get there but it did not last long.© StillBinary

Climbing Adula (3408m) we had a spectacular sunrise all over the alps. In the picture the first light of the day hitting Vogelberg (3200m). I worked this picture with a cold light, heating up the part of the sun. In this way we have a great contrast between the light and the dark. Light is life, and when you are walking on high mountains around 0C° it makes a great difference in your feeling. I also strongly worked on contrasts and clarity, to give better the sensation of how much big was that landscape in front of us.© Luca Fontana
