  2. https://www.bradleyhanson.com/blog/2019/8/1/holly-and-kyles-northern-minnesota-lake-wedding-at-maddens-resort-on-gull-lake-in-brainerd-mn This Minnesota wedding was photographed with 3 A7II bodies and the 35mm f2.8, 55mm f1.8 and 85mm f1.8 Sony lenses. I've used this 3 body and 3 prime lens for the past 15 years or so... I've been shooting weddings for 20 years and switched to Sony about 3 years ago. Since this wedding, I've replaced two of the cameras for A7III bodies. Holly grew up in California and Kyle came from Alexandria, MN. Kyle and Holly spent the first three years of their relationship traveling long distances to see each other. When they first started dating, Kyle lived in Finland and Holly lived in Denver. Within a year, Holly had moved to San Francisco and Kyle to Salt Lake City. Eventually, Kyle ended up moving to Sacramento for work. Holly jumped at the chance to live with him, but that meant a 7+ hour per day commute for her, in order to chase her man and her career. As a result, they learned to cherish each moment together like it might be their last and to make adventures and excursions a constant theme in the life they very deliberately built together. It was easily one of the strongest bonds I've ever witnessed and a wonderful day all around. The entire wedding took place at Madden’s Resort on beautiful Gull Lake on one of the ideal summer days on a hot and humid day that cooled down nicely in the evening for a perfect sunset on the lake. To see more Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN portraits, wedding photography and weddings all over the world, visit my main portfolio on bradleyhanson.com or email me at info@bradleyhanson.com or call me at 206-393-8292 and we can discuss your wedding plans in detail.
  3. Hi! I tried astrophotography for the first time this weekend, and have a few questions. I've read many times that an F4 lens isn't fast enough for astrophotography, but it was my only option this weekend. I think the outcome was far better than I expected, although my "standard" for results probably isn't that high. Anyway - I tried 30 seconds F4 on approximately 16mm, on a tripod of course. I can see glimpses of the milky way, but not as clearly as the "typical" astro-photo you'd see from an experienced photographer. Question 1: Which camera settings (shutter speed, aperture, iso) is preferable in order to capture the milky way? Question 2: Is it not enough with only one photo or are you supposed to stack multiple photos? Question 3: What is the benefit of stacking photos - will the milky away appear more clearly, or is it to reduce noice? Feel free to advice me (and other beginners) on how to make the milky way appear more clearly. I'm sure the camera settings should have been different . I'll throw in a couple of sample images from this weekend. Both are edited in LR.
  4. From the album: Coral Cove Park Jupiter Florida

Florida Sunrise I took a early morning off while in Jupiter, Florida and headed over to Coral Cove Park. This was my first time there and only had a hour, great location. 30 Second exposure with the Sony A7RII, 24mm Ziess lens on the very compact Vanguard Veo tripod, processed in Capture One.

  6. Hi All! My name is Josh and I'm a previous Canon owner. I used Canon cameras quite a bit (Canon T2i, 5D Mark II, 6D, 80D, 6D II, 5D Mark IV, and EOS R). I'm a hybrid shooter and I thought the camera to rule them all would have been the EOS R5, so I preordered. I read reviews, I watched test videos, I even watched Peter McKinnon to convince myself that this was it. This was the answer to all of my camerawomen woes (mainly 4:2:2 10 Bit and 4K 120p). Then I thought about it, and thought about it, watched some more Peter McKinnon and thought about it. I came to the conclusion that overheating, recording limits, and overall Canon's response to what people were asking was enough for me to leave. I decided to switch to Sony. But not just any Sony, I decided to preorder THE A7s III. I sold old, outdated, new but never used gear on Craigslist. Not to mention all of my beautiful glass. Now I'm here... Waiting... By the door. Is it September 24th yet?

  10. Hello, I am wondering whether there is an app to control my Sony a 6000 with my iPhone. What I need: something like the smart remote control app from the playmemories app but with a built in intervalometer (like timelapse) I want to program the camera to take for example one photo every second, but I also need a live view and want to change settings like aperture, iso, shutter and so on. The smart remote control app only has a 2s and 10s timer and it will then only take 1 shot. I want it to take 1 shot every second for a certain period of time, without losing focus (with AF and face recognition ON). Thx for your help guys :)
  11. Good afternoon, I got my Sony Alpha 7RII a couple months ago and all was going perfect until this "famous" camera error appeared randomly while i was shooting around. The "Camera Error, Turn off camera then on". I tried to turn it down and give it a small hit and it got fixed, but couple days after that it appeared again, and there's no way for me to fix it again. My camera is still in warranty, but i've seen a lot of people complaining about this problem and most of them still had this problem when the camera was already "fixed" by Sony. Is it worth to try to fix it by warranty (like my piece is wrong and they can put me a right one), or is it just a Sony problem and this will hit me up again in 2-3-8 months? Thanks in advance.
