  1. When I import footage that was shot in 29.97 and 120 fps all my footage shows up as 29.97 fps in my project panel using premiere pro. This makes it difficult to find my slow motion shots. The clip that is highlighted in the screen shot should be labeled as 120fps.
  2. Giving back with our Cameras. So last summer I had the idea that the local Animal Shelter could perhaps increase their adoption rates if they had better photos of their animals. So from time to time I started volunteering to lend my talent to help them achieve that goal. It actually worked too, as it put more people in the door to see these precious animals. I love animals, cats specifically, and I love being able to use my talent to give back to society. I hope you enjoy these photos, full gallery on my website at this link! http://www.kyleandrew.com/kittens-a-morning-at-the-spca-with-the-sony-a7r-ii/
  3. Hello! I was hoping I could get some advice about my Sony A7r lll. I bought it a couple weeks ago and I am concerned there may be something wrong with it. It is a certified refurbished unit and it only had 1 picture taken according to the shutter count. QUESTION 1 I shoot RAW (ARW) & JPG simultaneously and I am noticing a lot of bright random colored pixels in all my RAW images, but not in my JPG images. I would assume this is just noise from using higher ISO (about 4000-5000 ISO) but I would think I should see the same thing in my JPG images. I have attached some comparisons. You will notice that the ARW images look darker, more saturated, and they have terrible noise, accompanied with random colored pixels. QUESTION 2 I also feel and hear something moving in my camera body if I slightly shake the camera. Is this just a byproduct of having in-body image stabilization? QUESTION 3 I was shooting some video today and I noticed subtle horizontal banding in my display and the recorded video (seen in the last image/screenshot circled in red). The banding travels upwards. Settings are listed below.. File Format: XAVC S HD Record Setting: 30p 50m - Changing this didn't help Silent Shooting: Off - Changing this didn't help e-Front Curtain Shutter: On - Changing this didn't help Anti-flicker Shoot - Changing this didn't help This one is especially odd since I have shot both photo and video in the same conditions previously, with no issues. Now I cant do anything to get rid of this banding. This happens in auto for photo mode and video mode. I suspect I may have changed a setting somewhere without realizing it, which is causing this problem. Are these signs that I got a faulty unit or are these things normal? Thanks in advance!

  5. Howdy - Question, I have a Sony a5000, 5300 and 6000 (e mount) and I'm looking for an adapter for the Sony e mount so I'm able to use my Nikon 1 Nikkor Lens (Nikon 1 Nikkor 18.5mm f/1.8 and Nikon 1 Nikkor 11 - 27.5mm). I believe the Nikon's are G mount lens and I've read multiple articles with different suggestions. Any and all help would be much appreciated. And I'm looking to keep it a low cost as possible. Appreciate it! Cheers, Btlyle (@sonyatlanta)
  6. Hello, everyone! My name is Misty I just got a Sony a6300 a week ago today. I was wanting to upgrade to the Sony a7iii from my Nikon DSLR cameras (D600 and D300; I've also had Canon DSLR cameras in the past), but I couldn't catch it in stock. Since I needed a new camera for VBS at church last Saturday, my husband ran me up to our local Best Buy last Friday and bought me the 6300...so, I'm a week in! I do hope to be able to grab the a7iii later this year for my birthday in November or at Christmas, but I am loving the 6300 so far and will definitely keep it as my back up camera/teaching my three kids ( 12, 9, and 8 ) how to shoot! The only lens I have right now is the 18-135mm that came with it but, with time, I am hoping to get a longer zoom, a 50mm, an 85mm and maybe the 16mm just because I love how other people's landscape photos look with that lens. I'm not a professional by any means, but I'm not a newbie either. I have loved pictures and photo albums for as long as I can remember, and I got my first real camera when I was in 7th grade. I'll be 32 here in a few months and I've had a lot of cameras since then. After I had my first child, that's when I wanted an awesome camera and got into Photoshop/Lightroom so I could create the best memories I possibly could have to look back on. This is my first mirrorless camera, though, and I am BEYOND excited for the adventures that Sonnie (what I named her) and I will be having together. I've taken pictures at VBS, the first day of school yesterday, at the fair, and our new church being build in just the seven days I've had it. I am also excited to learn how to take awesome videos with it! I still have a lot to learn, but that's why I'm here on this forum!!!
  7. Hey folks, So I wanted to share this image shot on the A7R II last week on Christmas Day at my family gathering. It was shot with a metabones IV adapter and a Canon 70-200 2.8IS II. The full details are ISO 102,400, F2.8 and Shutter Speed of 1/4000th. I have not processed this in anyway whatsoever other than to downsize it for posting. I have included a link to a full gallery of the images from that day on my website, where you will see this image again processed as I would any other. However here is the link to my website, and the 102,400 ISO image untouched. Unfortunately I had to save it at JPEG 7 to get it to fit the size limits of the forum. Full Gallery Here
