hi all , I have just purchased a s/h Sony NEX that had no software with it. I understand sony captive is good also lightroom. Which software do you use that gives you best results? Also being a novice ease of use would be good. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks,

I am trying to download the Sony time lapse software from the Playmemories store. I got the operating software updated to the latest version on my camera, got the camera to connect to my wifi, set up my account and got my debit card added to the account. When I get on the camera and try to purchase the software, it goes through the entire process and gives me an "An internal error has occured" and it won't let me download anything. Has anyone else had this issue or know how to resolve it? I can't find any way to contact Sony about it. Thanks!

I have tried for hours and hours to buy software for my a6000 with no luck. I have tried two browsers and 3 ways to pay (all good) for software, to no avail. I have followed the advice on this forum, to no avail. I have come to the conclusion that sony is so large that its screwed up beyond description. I have purchased 3 cameras, one expensive tv and loads of other stuff from them, but this crap that is going on now for a goofy 10 dollar piece of software has driven me insane, I hate sony.

Hi All. I have a Sony Alpha 6000 and I am downloading my pictures directly from the camera to my Mac computer using the Play Memories Home software. I find the software very slow and my computer occasionally freezes during the downloads. I was wondering if anyone is using other software to download there pictures or if maybe I am doing something wrong using this software. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Please Sony consider to add this feature for macro photography... It's essential and you can save a lot of time during your production! Please Help!

I have an issue with the software in my A7II. I understand that when you need to take a quick photo without setting A or S priorities, such as in photojournalism, etc. But since focus cannot be corrected in lightroom, elements, etc. why not be able to set focus area in auto mode? When you don't have the time for other corrections/settings, the camera will still auto focus, but at the specific area you choose regardless of the other settings (where most corrections can be made via Adobe, etc.) Yet this function is not available in auto where the focus area as well as A, S & ISO are set by the software. I believe that this should be corrected so that in auto, you have the choice of leaving everything in auto mode, but also have the option of controlling the focus area. That way you can still shoot quickly but with only the focus area to be concerned with. I think this should be an option, so what do you think? Is this relevant? Should Sony look into this change?

I have a Sony A7ii Camera and recently I formatted a new memory card on my camera and the battery was around 40%. During the format process, the camera turned off and when I tried restarting it again, it won't show any firmware in the camera and would just flicker once with the live view display and then go black. I have been trying to solve this problem and have no success till now. Please help out if any of you have any idea how to get this fixed.

My camera wont connect with my macbook since I upgraded to Sierra. I understand there are software snd firmware updates but cant find it.

In the Application>PlayMemories Camera Apps menu, when trying to update a free Sony App (I.E Sony Remote Control to ver 3.30), I get an error message: System Software update of the device is necessary for this application. View the page and update: http://www.sony.net/pcma/info Firstly, that web page does not exist. Secondly, am I being asked to update my camera firmware? I cannot find instructions on Sony's websites on how to do this HELP!!
