Hi there, I wanted to share the latest short clip I made from a trip last year to Tiger Beach in the Bahamas. Do turn up the volume for full effect Gear used was a Sony A7s with the Sony 28mm FE combined with Nauticam's WWL-01 wet lens (which gives a 140 degree FOV with little distortion and extreme close focusing) Video was recorded onto an Atomos Shogun in 4k UHD 29.97 in ProRes HQ. All the equipment including the Shogun are housed in Nauticam dive housings. No video lighting was used, only ambient light. Aerials were shot with a Dji Phantom 3 Pro The video has been cropped to simulate a 2.39:1 Anamorphic modern cinema format and rendered in 1080p Sharks are simply not the ferocious man-eaters that movies and the media make them out to be. They are majestic, graceful, beautiful creatures with character. I hope this video will help educate both divers and non divers alike.

Hey Guys, Working with a ninja assassin external recorder by atomos, which doesn't quite yet support DCI 4K either - the shogun (it's older brother) just had an update to allow certain sony cameras DCI 4K rather than the UHD 4K we're all being sold. Will it ever be possible with firmware updates to get DCI 4K from and A7s+Ninja Assassin? How long will UHD 4K be relevant? Thanks in advance x

I'm looking at buying the A7s because of the low light + 4K video possibilities. I do a lot of inside filming and I'm over using artificial light for simple tasks. Also to have the ability to get photos of my daughter in low light rooms will be amazing! Basically here in Australia its going to cost $5.5k for the A7s + Atomos Shogun. I love what the shogun can do and cant wait to use it. My biggest problem is I dont know what to do with my Nikon D610 and 6 quality lenses (24-70mm 2.8G, 70-200mm 2.8G, 105mm Micro etc). I dont want to sell them because they are fairly new and take amazing pictures. Maybe I can sell them all and buy everything back in Canon second hand and not loose too much? I believe Canon has more potential to get 4K right in the future than Nikon with their DSLR cameras. I would hate to buy a kit of E-Mount lenses and then down the track Sony make a future camera and the lenses are incompatible down the track. You know they love to do it! Also I am a little spooked by the electronic focus and zoom on the Sony lenses. I guess I will see how they handle today when I try them in store. I'm also looking at buying a Kessler Second shooter setup with a wireless focus puller. So I will need lenses to accommodate operating them. I also will need to buy a good auto focusing Sony lens for simple at times video? Any help would be great thanks.
