  1. I'm new to S-logs and sony A7 camera and just got a new A7s2. I'm experimenting the S-Log3 which I plan to shoot videos. I just accidentally found that when shoot raw still image, the exposures are different in different picture profile settings using S-Log3. Below 2 images were shot at identical exposure settings, shutter speed, aperture, and iso, but different picture profiles. I see the S-log3 is heavily underexposed. Does anyone can explain why is this? Thanks.
  2. Hi - I've just got a Sony A7S mkii, and I'm struggling to figure out the picture profiles. I'm using the camera in movie mode, with pp1 set to black level +1, gamma S-log3, and colour mode S-gamut3. I use Final Cut Pro X, and I've downloaded a demo version of Color Grading Central's LUTs. This contains around 40 different plug-in LUTs. What I'm looking for is something that matches the beautiful look I get with my Canon 5d mkiii, with contrast and sharpness as low as they go, saturation one step up from that, saturation at zero. this is beautiful even before grading. I'm looking for a mellow, 'cinematic' feel like film stock. Also, I have a huge amount of noise in the s-log3. Can anybody suggest some LUTs I could try that would look similar to the Canon image? Thanks, any suggestions welcome.
