  1. I recently completed 2 albums, both are the Muir Woods Redwoods, truly an enchanted forest. Each album photographed on a separate day. I only use the a6000, the 1st day I used my Rokinon 12mm f.2. I really like the lens, super sharp, lite weight - compact, very reasonable price. It's all manual so I set the a6000 on manual and adjusted accordingly each photo. It was a sunny day. The 2nd day I used my Zeiss 16-70mm f.4 only. I don't care much for it. Being mostly a night shooter I bought a fast Rok 21mm f:1.4 for nights. This was a cloudy, foggy as usual day. I was shocked by the amount of purple ca each shoot had and not just at the edges but in the dead center. It seemed that when branches were against blue sky the camera couldn't differentiate either on the cloudy day or the sunny day. So I'm asking if anyone knows what happened, that I got the same result, under such different circumstances and if you have any shooting tips you use that could help w the color aberrations. I would like to control it during the photographing You can go to my whole album by clicking on my name Coast below This is a photo w the Rokinon Muir Woods National Monument, on a sunny day, wide angle by Coast, on Flickr This photo is w my Zeiss on the cloudy day Cathedral Grove, Muir Woods National Monument; San Francisco Bay Area by Coast, on Flickr thanks for any help and tips
  2. I recently came into a package deal and I'm wondering if its a good deal or not. Its a newer Sony A7ii along with kit lens, Zeiss 24-70 f/4, Sony 70-200 f/4, and a Rokinon e-mount 14mm f/2.8. All equipment is lightly used, seller has switched to Fuji. Price for package $3000 Thoughts??
  3. Hey! I just recently bought the Fotodiox mount adapter from Nikkor F-Mount to E- mount, so I can use my two Rokinon lenses on my a7 camera. I have the Rokinon 16mm t2.2 full frame and Rokinon 85mm t1.5 full frame. I tried the adapter with my 16mm and it worked just fine both APS-C OFF and ON. But the 85mm doesn't work when I switch between APS-C OFF and ON and it stays in ON , so I can't use the whole full frame and it sticks with the crop APS-C. I've just tried these settings in the a7 Menu since I can't find anywhere else an option to work this out. Any ideas? Thank you !
  4. I noticed that AF-C doesn't work well with the Rokinon 50mm AF lens on my Sony a7s i. The camera never stops hunting for the correct focus. I tried the lens on an a6000 and the AF-C worked really well (fast and accurate). I tested the lens on an a7s ii and I had the same issue. Finally, the lens worked perfectly on the a7r iii. Ive heard of people having similar issues when trying to use the Zeiss 55mm lens on the a7s i. I tested the Zeiss 35mm 1.8 lens on my a7s i and it focused perfectly. I realize the camera is outdated but has anyone had any similar issues / success solving the problem? My a7s i has firmware 3.20. Thanks!
  5. I just received the Sony A7 iii. I have a set of Rokinon Xeen e-mount lenses that I would like to use with the A7 iii but I am unsure if the mount will support the Xeens. Has anyone had experience with this and care to share? Can the mount support the weight of the lenses or do I need to look at getting a rig and support system? If so, can you recommend a system? Thanks!
  6. I love night shooting, currently on budget/beginner level with alpha5000 and kit lens (16-50 / 3.5-5.6). What other lens would you recommend me for this camera?
  7. Hello Community! I bought a Samyang 12mm f2 lens for my A6000 for landscape photography some months ago. I've been pretty satisfied so far but now as i want to get into star/milkyway photography i need your advice. made my first tries near my hometown. i know that there is some light pollution, but i want to get some experience before i go farther away. Can you tell me why the lights on the bottom of the photo are so distorted? Is this (normal) coma? do i have a bad copy or am i doin' something wrong? Original Picture https://flic.kr/p/BtrQWb Crop
