  1. Recently my LCD screen stopped working. Everything I’ve researched addresses the screen going black but my problem is a little bit different and I can’t find anything that addresses it. It started as a faint reddish-orange thin horizontal line right above the camera settings extending the entire width of the bottom of the screen. It was almost like a ghosting effect over the text.   2. I have now owned several Sony cameras and lenses, including a NEX 5n, a NEX7 and currently the A7. So far, I've had great luck with all of these, in not encountering problems or damage which required my having to interact with Sony. As I read more on these Sony forums though, I hear more and more negative comments of how users were treated by Sony when they run into problems.
