  1. I know its a video oriented camera, but it has the slot for a ttl flash but missing the in camera settings for it, and when you mount a flash on it does say that it does not recognize the accessory. My question is, it is posible that this option to be software blocked or the fx30 is hardware limited and is not comatible with a flash? All i found online about it are just simple no's and no real arguments as why cant you use a flash for photograhy. (the fx30 actually beeing pretty good at taking stills) Thank you.

  3. Hey folks, I've made a post like this before, but I wanted to do another one regarding my latest trip to the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA here in my hometown. I volunteer my photography there because I believe that higher quality images could definitely lead to a greater adoption rate and so far I've been proved correct. I hope these images inspire you to maybe get out there and do some good with your respective cameras! Not that every picture we take isn't doing good, but our images can change lives, be they persons or pets. I've attached a couple of my favourite images from the shoot, but you can view the full gallery and write up on my website by clicking below: Volunteering at the SPCA Here are a couple of my faves from the shoot. All images shot on the Sony A7R II with the 55mm 1.8 Sony/Zeiss Lens

  6. Hey Sony Alpha community, I am planning a landscape timelapse project in British Columbia for this summer and I have a Sony Alpha 7S II. I know that all the good landscape photographers out there use the A7R II or a camera with similar resolution for landscape photography. In my case, though, I will export a 4K video file for which my 4240 × 2832 still image size of the A7S II should be enough. I will not print my photos in large formats like most landscape photographers. So my question is, how important is the resolution of my camera when shooting a 4K timelapse video? What is the difference in the final image quality when exporting a 4240 × 2832 (A7S II) image file in 4K compared to exporting a 7952 x 5304 (A7R II) image file in 4K? What really matters is the resolution of your export, or am I wrong? Of course I understand that using a A7S II over an A7R II will limit my ability to crop in the image while still keeping enough resolution. I hope you guys understand my problem and can help me. Cheers, Flo
