  1. Hello, I came across this forum and it looks like a great place to hang out. I'm from Loudon Tennessee and I like photographing a variety of subjects. I seem to be leaning toward nature and wildlife recently since acquiring my Tamron 150-600 mm lens for my Sony A77 M2. One reason I came to this site was to get more information about my current camera but to also see what everyone is saying about the mirrorless line. I'm considering a Sony A7R II in the near future. I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. Happy shooting!
  2. Hi to the forum I worked as a professional photographer from 1970 to 1995 - no digital then and started using the 35mm Autofocus Minolta SLR's for personal use. I then decided that I would work in the computer technology field. My hobby is still active - but I don't have any film cameras active... still have a Minolta Maxxum 35mm but also Sony Alphas 100 and an A65 for pictures... I'm looking forward to seeing what new information I can glean from this forum.
  3. Hello people have the opportunity to create cool images for a company's website. Only I do not have so much experience... and meander through with the auto function of the camera. Now I got a few pictures for reference. These have once created a photographer for the company, but I do not know him and I know nothing else how he shot the pictures. So now I was handed a Sony alpha 7iii and told to take quality pictures. What setting do you think he used? What lens do I need to get there? Thanks friends! I really need support
  4. Folks; had my first outdoor trip with the A6000 yesterday, went through a lost place, doing a load of shooting indoors with tripod as well as a few outdoor shots. Had the camera set to automatic aperture and ISO to 100 (intended to keep noise low). Used the stock 16-50 lens. Outcome: Most of the pictures I took indoors with tripod are mostly okay for a first day. However, virtually *all* the outdoor pictures failed and look like these two examples (EXIF should be embedded): http://zimmer428.net/zeugs/DSC00176.JPG http://zimmer428.net/zeugs/DSC00238.JPG I was a bit shocked, but as I am new to this device, I want to find out whether it's an issue with camera / lens or whether I'm just yet too stupid to operate it correctly. Used a PowerShot G series for the last years as well as a film-based SLR for roughly two decades so I have at least basic understandings of the optical conditions and aspects of photography. Can anyone enlighten me what could be possibly wrong with these shots? TIA and all the best, Kristian
  5. Hi from Indonesia! My gear is Sony A6000 and I have had it for about 4 months now and I really love it. My lense is Sony 35mm/f1.8 and Sony 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Zoom Lens. I am basically an engineer with hobbies of photography and mostly videography. My shots is all about cities I visited especially in Indonesia. Hopefully I can showcase my kind of art here and also learning from you guys about them. Thanks in advance for having me here -Haykal

I'm collecting information about the A7II, rings to adapt old lenses, so I have many questions you'll see that ! Also here to improve my english Practicing in a photo-club, I like to take very différents pictures, studio, portraits, sport, nature, street.... I don't want to be stuck in just one kind of photography.
  7. Hello everyone! I'm new here and new to thew world of photography. I'm a game developer by trade and love to modify things. I'll be posting a few of my modifications I did to my A6000 (mostly aesthetic ones) and how I went about doing them. Since the a6000 series all look alike I wanted to hopefully inspire some people to make theirs stand out in the crowd like mine does. I'll post the link to my new thread once I make it and figure out the crazy file size restrictions with the pictures I wanted to include.
