  1. Waited all year for the sun to rise perfectly at the end of this valley. Taken in Llanberis, just outside of Snowdonia, Wales. Sony A5000, Sony 16-50mm at 21mm, F10, 106 seconds, ISO 100

  3. Hi there at SAR, I'm a photographer from Austria, been shooting with Sony gear for the last couple of years and figured it's time to show some (ok...just three) of my more recent shots. Taken last weekend with my A99 & Tamron 24-70 2.8 in the beautiful Dolomites during the so-called "King of Dolomites" freeride photography contest. Hope you like it, I'll post some more of my work during the next few days.
  4. Some images from a Lake district weekend, weather was typical mix of rain and cloud with the odd fleeting ray of sunshine. I took my NEX-7 with the excellent 30mm 2.8 Sigma lens.
  5. Here are a few shots I got this fall in the Cascade mountains near my house. One of the main reasons I wanted to upgrade from my NEX-7 was high ISO performance and the A7rII has met those expectaions. All shot with Samyang 14mm 2.8 Mt. Shuksan, Milky Way + Aurora Mt. Baker by moonlight Moon over Glacier Pk. Sunrise on Mt. Baker

  13. Hi everyone, this is my first post in this forum. Started digital photography in 2001 using a simple sony dcp 30 3.2 MP cybershot - yes, those were the days! Then changed to a Sony F 828 Cybershot. Dropped it and went Canon for 10 years: EOS 30D, EOS 5DIII, lost the 5D due to an assault, insurance paid well, went with an original 6D. This August I bought a Sony Alpha 7sll and yes, it is a fine cam. Using at along with the Samyang FE 35mm F/2.8 AF for almost everything. Also have a Sigma 20mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art 015 along with an MC 11 adapter for nightscapes. Bought a CLS Astronomik filter as well to manage light pollution if necessary. Well, enough said for now. Here's a photograph taken yesterday morning on mount Pilatus, near Lucerne Switzerland. Hope you enjoy the view as much as I did. Kind regards, Peter in Switzerland.

    Selfie!

    From the album: Landscapes

Alpinist taking a selfie ascending on Mount Adula, highest peak of Ticino (Switzerland). The day and situation was just perfect, with a sea of clouds and colors of sunrise. Modern times: he is taking a selfie instead of a landscape photo.

    Connections

    From the album: Landscapes

This picture is took from Colle San Carlo looking to Colle del Piccolo San Bernardo, the mountain passage from Italy to France. France sells every year tons of electricity through this cables, and fog is coming too from there. I used particularly desaturated colors to give more the idea of post-the-sunset atmosphere. I had also 2 choices: or to make a closeup of the fog and cable in the back, or to leave the picture as I tooken, with the tree in the middle. I preferred the second way, to give more deeper effect and in this way you can see the cables going all through the valley.
