  1. Hi everyone! I just switched from Canon to Sony a7r2, so I'm using my Canon lenses with an adapter on the new Sony body. After some shooting I stumbled on some issues, which I found some reports of on fora, but not yet any solutions. Was hoping you guys might be able to help out! ISO: I read about 'great low-light capabilities', but so far every time I go over ISO 800, pictures go way to noisy (shooting RAW), while seeing posts with ISO 8000 (http://www.stevehuffphoto.com/tag/sony-a7r2/) where there doesn't seem to be any issue. MF: Shooting in low-light, on a 50mm f1.8 lens (on f1.8) there is no way of getting any focus. The focus peaking doesn't even appear. I could easily nail these shots on my previous body, but the screen is making it impossible (effects view is already off) to gain any focus. Autofocus doesn't seem to work. I ready about this and was hoping there would be any solutions by now...? Can it be the converter (metabones)? Or are there settings things that I'm overlooking? Or might there be any firmware updates available? Hope you guys can help me out!
  2. Hello I have a question regarding the 50mm f/1.8 oss. I am shooting with an a6000. During MF or DMF, when turning the focusing ring of this specific lens, the focus distance always changes at the same constant slow rate. That results in many turns until the lens changes from minimum to maximum focus distance. On the other hand, when doing the same on a 16-50 or 55-210 lens, the speed at which I turn the focusing ring has a specific effect. A sudden turn of the focusing ring can change focus from closest to furthest very quickly. On the contrary, a slow turn of the focusing ring changes the focus in very small increments. Note that I am talking about the same angle of rotation in each case. It is a matter of rapid/sudden movement, not a bigger angle of rotation. For example, turning the focusing ring 45 degrees slowly results in a different change of focus, compared to when the turning it suddenly (you may try it on your 16-50). Is there a way to set the 50mm OSS to work the same way? It would be really helpful for both MD and DMF. Both lens and body have the latest firmware. Thanks in advance
  3. Hello everyone, Background : I have a persistent problem with my Sony 55-200, since some weeks ago the auto-focus stopped working. AF works with my 18-55 mm and my 50 mm on this camera, the only lens having this problem is the 55-200. Problem : The AF doesn't work but the lens motor moves and it seems it is trying to focus with no success :/. It goes like that non-stop, even after 5 minutes impossible to focus. I use the lens on MF and it works perfectly, although, in some cases I'd really like to have the AF. You can find the video on this post. Do you have any thought about this problem? Could it be the motor built-in? Can I do something myself to repair it? I could bring the camera somewhere to repair but I am not willing to pay a lot as it is a cheap camera nowadays. Thanks in advance.
