  1. I am using a rented a7R II and SAL70400 with the adapter from A to E. On the a7R II it works pretty well but does not support DMF focus mode. I can live with that but not very happily. Today I tried the lens + adapter on my a6000 and it tried to autofocus but really could not do it. I tried both full auto and limited auto and it simply hunted. Since I had never read about that I decided to tell all of you what I experienced. FYI only.
  2. I purchased a la-ea3 adapter to use on my newly purchased a7rii camera to use my existing old minolta lenses. looking at the a-mount lens charts , I see no a-mount lenses listed that will work full frame on the a7rii camera. the chart says the angle of view will be treated as aps-c and auto-cropped. Is this correct, or are there any old a-mount or screw-mount lenses that will perform full frame using some type of adapter on the a7rii camera?
  3. This is a Sony A6300 with Sigma AF 24-105mm f/4 DG HSM Art Minolta A with Sony LA-EA3 A-Mount Adapter. As well as Blackmagic Production Camera 4K EF with Sigma AF 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art Canon EF-S and Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM. The result is 10 minutes of peace and clouds. Except for the opening plan in the timelapse, everything else was in real time. After the post-production, it was accelerated.
  4. Does anyone know why Sony (or 3rd parties) can't make a better adapter for their A-mount SSM and SAM lenses? For example, the relatively inexpensive Sony 28-75 f2.8 is a really good lens. I've tried several copies and they make sharp, contrasty images. However, the AF on my E-mount bodies (a9 & a6500) is hampered by the paucity of focus points. The limiting factor is obviously not the bodies, and I don't think it's the lenses. It seems to be the adapter!
  5. Does anyone have experience using Sigma's APO 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM lens on the A7rii with LA-EA3 adapter? If yes, please share your thoughts.
  6. Hi guys, I'll be purchasing the A7r2 soon and i want a cheap super tele photo lens for my amatuer bird watching thing. I'm thinking of minolta 100-400 APO but still wandering if it's going to be autofocus with the la-ea3 on A7r2? Please let me know if anyone has tried mounting the minolta lens with the la-ea3 adapter Ps. would be great if you could let me know the tracking af ability on the minolta lenses as well Thanks everyone in advance
