Hi all. First of all I would like to thank you for your time if you reply. I am currently looking for an external recorder for my Sony a7II. I know the camera does not support 4K output so I am undecided if I even should get an external recorder that could improve the image quality. It is also unclear for me what would be the benefit of recording in 1080p on an external recorder. My first thought was the codec but I found a few articles stating that Sony's codec is as good as ProRes. So in terms of image quality in 1080p would there be an improvement to the internal a7II recording? Thank you.

Hey guys I'm new to this forum and joined since I'm having a very hard time picking a lens to use for my Sony A7s. I intend to use the camera mainly for filming vlogs, travel/food videos, and short films. I really need an expert opinion on which lens would suit this purpose the best and please give examples of test video if available. Also does any one recommend an external 4k recorder for this camera that is not as expensive as the shogun? Thank you so much guys for this help I really appreciate it.

HFR on external recorder limited to 60fps

Hi All, I just got my A7S II and I'm playing with HFR on the Atomos Ninja Assassin external recorder. So far I'm only able to record 60fps in 1080p - is there a way to record 120fps on an external recorder? Thanks Jeppe
