  1. Insta: @stevezywica Web: www.stevezywica.com I always get an ominous feeling when I look at the man in the picture on the wall in this scene. This was taken in an abandoned candy factory on the south side of Chicago that looked like everyone literally dropped what they were doing and walked out one day. Me and my friend (a female model) were on the second floor when we heard someone else walking around the floor beneath us (presumably up to no good, especially on this particularly sketchy side of town) and we had to hide for a short while until we could find an alternate way out to get away. 6. Shot using my monochrome converted a7R-II(m). Shot on the Washington coat in Ilwaco. Sony a7R-II(m) monochrome converted, Nikon 28mm 1:1.4 @ ƒ5.6, 1/800, ISO 640. You can see more here: www.monochromeimaging.com This camera has been a real pleasure to use; reminds me of the film days, but without all of the mess. This is the only converted a7R-II in existence at this time.

Hong Kong is a unique place: a ultra-modern city is perfectly melt with a wild jungle. Hiking outside the tourist route, I found the "true" Victoria Peak place, 550m above sea level, in the middle of about nothing. This atmosphere is much more unique with the feeling of Maniland China at the doors, with its factory and complitely different culture. I choosed to have a strong presence of jungle in composition of the picture to underline the importance of nature in Hong Kong. I choosed also to use Black & White to work better on contrasts, because Hong Kong is a city full of contrasts. In this way the photo has more impact and more surreal ambient, giving more conceptual attitude.

  16. A little girl high-fives the Golden Lady at London's Piccadilly Circus. After about 11 years of doing photography, and especially street candids, I bought an A6000. I also started shooting mono for the first time. I've a feeling it will take me some time getting good at it, though.
