  1. I'm new to my Sony A7III and for the most part happy, but recently I've noticed after I take a picture and move somewhere to take another, the green focus point has moved and I have to use the joy stick to recenter it. I like to keep it centered for those run and gun type of shots. Any suggestions? Thanks very much!
  2. I have been experimenting with long exposures and nd filters with my Sony A7 II and Sony FE 16-35 F4 lense. The other day I attached a circular polarizer and a 10 stop ND filter. I've always assumed you needed to use manual focus with filters and long exposures. However, my auto focus seemed to work just fine even under these conditions. Does anyone else have a simular experience with auto focus and long exposures?
  3. I used my new Sony 70-200/f4 on a weekend trip recently and took a lot of street photos using this lens. Looks OK on screen and also at home, until I zoom in. Then most pictures are a little bit un-sharp, like if it isn't really focused. I used f-values between 4-7.1 and shutter speed of at least 1/400, so I don't think movement is a problem. And the edges are not fuzzy, it is more like you can't see the smallest details, like pores in the skin etc. Is my lens in need of calibration of what can the problem be? I'm very new to this kind of tele-lenses, so I don't know. I use AF single with medium spot btw and aim for anywhere on the face.
  4. I've just purchased the following: Sony A7sII and a Metabones V adaptor (Canon EF to Sony E mount) The lens I'm trying to use is a Canon 24-105 IS F4 L When turned on the adaptor light turns blue. (I thought it was meant to turn green but maybe not?) Regardless, I have zero auto focus. The camera is trying to find focus but it can't set on a targeted image at all. Every other control appears to be working, just no Auto focus. Can anyone help?
  5. Focus is great and quick, but as soon as I go to video the focus stays sharp but keeps running even if the subject doesn’t move. Here’s a link I shot (couldn’t attach the video here) https://imgur.com/a/z4FwBrb
  6. Just got my a7sii. I'm interested in getting lenses that will give me better auto focus. I know that you need Sony glass for that. This Sony 24-70 f2.8 is PERFECT except the wrong lens mount! Why isn't it an E mount?! I guess I could get that and get an A-E mount adapter. Seems wrong to buy an adapter for a Sony lens to a Sony camera. I guess my question is if anyone believes that the A7sII auto focus is good enough to buy Sony glass for. I love the idea, and love what I have seen from the a7RII and its autofocus, but is it worth buying new glass for? Any suggestions at all for a dream lens kit for the a7sII please share thanks!
