  3. Hi everyone, I’m struggling with my a7r iii : how do you remove images from both cards at the same time? I shoot simultaneously to both cards but when I remove a picture from SD 1, it stays on SD 2. Or is there a way to sync the backup card to the primary card? Also, for speed I sometimes end up disabling SD2, but could find how to backup those files or folders after the shot... any help? Thanks ?
  4. I can't seem to get the new Sony RMT-P1BT to connect with the A9 (under Software Ver 5.0). No problem with my A7R3 (under Software version 3.0) but no way to do this with the A9. When trying to pair the menu always offers "Make Bluetooth connection via Imaging Edge Mobile on Smartphone" whereas on the A7R3 it says. "Perform pairing on the connected device" and it then offers the painting with the remote. Any tips available?

  7. Hi gents, another dumb question from a fortunate but inept user (we're a dime a dozen right?). So I got my hands on an A7Riii, and this makes it the first camera I've had with dual card slots. Right now I have it set to save in one slot as RAW and the other as JPEG when I take a picture. When I connect the my camera to the camera however, I can only see the RAW files. If I put the second (JPEG) card into a card reader, I can see the JPEGs, but not while it's still in the camera. Is something wrong? I want to be able to see both files when I connect my camera to the computer. edit - My bad I got this figured out. Turns out I'm just really dumb...I set the USB connection to "mass storage" and now see everything.
  8. Does anyone else have an issue with excessive spotting on photos with their mirrorless camera? I have a Sony Alpha a7 iii used mainly with a single E-mount G-series lens with a Hoya DMC UV filter... But in recent months I've noticed that I am editing out dozens of spots from marks - on the lens or perhaps from the camera. I've tried cleaning the filter, the lens, blowing out dust from the other end of the lens/inside camera but a lot of these marks/spots remain. I rarely change lenses. I previously used Canon DSLR cameras & lenses and never had the problem to the extent I am having now. Any ideas? Is this a 'feature' of mirrorless cameras??
  9. This was one of the first shots of the day shooting near the Edenvale Winery. We didn't have a lot of time to prepare but Khalia was an amazing subject and had wonderful grace and movement. It wasn't easy wrangling that dress but she did a fantastic job. As the birthplace of the Oregon pear industry there were lot of great spots throughout the vineyard and orchard areas, but this one called out to us from the moment we got there. 10. My HVL-F20M flash suddenly does not work with my A7R3. When the camera is turned on, it says something like: "Device not supported. Check manual." Firmware is current on camera. Any ideas from the Forum for fixing?
  11. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnhlfhGCVJk&feature=youtu.be I been shooting several timelapse projects in 2018, The a7r3 is the perfect camera for timelapse and hyperlapse photography. I only miss the option to choose different resolutions when i shot in RAW. Here, my latest experiment, a hyperlapse around Las Vegas Boulevard, using the A7r3 with Laowa 15mm f2 and a 3 axis gimbal.

  16. Where on earth can I find an ac adapter for the a7r3? The way I use my camera in the studio usually involves multiple cameras into a switchable usb hub into one computer. USB powering is flaky at best and unusable at worst when switching from camera to camera. My cameras stay on all day. Anybody have a solution to this (admittedly niche) problem?
  17. I have a Sony a7r3. I recently purchased a wired remote control (a Kiwifotos Remote Control Shutter Release) so I could eliminate as much camera-shake as possible in my (dark) studio. I photographed still lifes for two days, and I always had the Focus Area set to Flexible Spot. Today I got out of the studio with my camera and was shooting in a park. I had Focus Area set to Center. To my amazement and consternation, the Center focus area almost immediately changed to Flexible Spot. I checked my settings and Focus Area was still set to Center. I found that no matter what focus area I set and no matter what mode I was in, I would start with the correct focus area and it would soon change to a Flexible Spot that always appeared in the upper left corner. (Sometimes this was accompanied by a message about focus being cancelled.) Turning the camera off and on had no effect. After an hour of trying one thing after another to no avail, I reformatted the camera back to factory settings. This seems to have solved the problem, but of course I have lost all the customizations I spent many many hours inputting. My question is, could the wired remote control have caused this weird behavior? I would have said no two days ago but it seems like such an odd coincidence that I used flexible spot exclusively with a remote control for two days and after that, flexible spot kept dominating all other Focus Area settings.
