  1. Hello Folks, I'm hoping for some feedback on "Long Zoom" lenses from actual users. My head has been spinning with all the options available, Sony, Tamron, Sigma, Used, New, OS, non OS, etc. After tentatively deciding on either the Sigma 50-500mm or the Tamron 150-600mm, I discovered neither lens was offered for Pentax K mount, my current system. That wasn't exactly bad news. I enjoy my Pentax cameras, but have a strong preference for EVF and welcomed the chance to buy another Sony. I once had the a77 and don't recall why I sold it. I loved the camera and got great results. I guess I just wanted something new? Well, I've ordered an a77ii and it will arrive Wednesday, with the 18-135mm and 55-3oomm lenses. I'm looking forward to enjoying my new camera while I make a final decision on which long zoom to buy. We have a trip planned for late May through Teton and Yellowstone Parks, so that's my time frame to buy the new lens. I strongly value user opinions over professional reviews and spec sheets. Any advice or comments will be really appreciated! Thanks! Jack
  2. I have a new Sony A77 II. When I first used it, it beeped whenever it focused, and it prevented me from taking an out-of-focus shot. After a few days something changed. Now it no longer beeps, and it will take photos in as well as out of focus. When I press the shutter halfway it still auto-focuses though, and the viewfinder indicates focus. The camera and the lens are both set to auto-focus. "Audio signals" on the camera is set to "On" (toolbox menu 1). I have tried this with a Tamron lens, as well as with the Sony lens that came with my older a57. I assume I have changed some menu setting inadvertently, but I have gone through the menus backwards and forwards several times, and I cannot see any setting to fix this. Can somebody enlighten me?
  3. Some of my old works for the last 12 years. Cameras: Sony A65, Sony A77, Sony A7s, Sony A6300 Thank you for watching!
  4. Hello all, I've just purchased an a6500 with the LA-EA4 in an attempt to use all of my A-mount lenses but have better autofocus, image quality, etc. than my a77 (mk 1). I have tried it with the Minolta 50mm 1.7, Sony 16-50 2.8, and Tamron 70-300 USD. All lenses have the same issue: back-focus. I've tried each and every micro-adjust setting nothing seems to have a noticeable difference on the back-focus. The focus areas even show up green so the camera thinks it's focused correctly, but it's always something behind the subject that's in focus. I've been using spot AF-S but have tried all combinations of focus areas and modes to no avail. The camera has the older software version 1.05, I have not updated but it doesn't seem like the update provides any support for the adapter so I don't think that would help. The only other things I've tried are resetting and initializing the camera. Focus is phenomenal with native E lenses, and all the A lenses I've tested are perfect on my a77. Any ideas? Thanks!

  6. The project started in 2012 with my first experiments with timelapse techniques. At that time I was just beginning to look for ways to capture as much emotion as possible from the atmosphere of the city where I was born, through the visuals. After the 2nd video first showed in January 2014 and won several awards afterwards, I started working on a short film. In 2017, the main filming was completed, but due to circumstances, the project went into the archive. In 2018, a short video based on the draft version of the film was released. And now, three years later, the film has been completely remastered. And the author of the music, as originally intended, was the talented Russian composer Sergei Ivanov. The film was shot on Sony A6300, Sony A7s, Sony A77v, Sony A65, Konica-Minolta Z3, Blackmagic Production Camera 4K EF, Panasonic GH5 and Xiaomi Mi Drone 4K. You can listen to the composer's works herehttps://soundtree.bandcamp.com
