I'm absolutely in love with my Sony A7s as a B cam to my Sony FS7 (and sometimes primary since I work with gimbals so much). But, as a videographer who does a lot of documentary work, I'm in love with the idea of the Sony VG-9000. Obviously, that camera has some limitations compared to the A7s and FS7, but it seems like that camera body with the exact specs of an A7rII would be a huge hit. I do a little photography, but 95% of my work is video. And while I don't mind using the Sony A7s in doc-shoots (where the FS7 is just too large and imposing), it would make a lot of sense to have the form factor and usability of something like the VG900. Any possibility of this update? I'd buy it up and pair with my Loxias in a heartbeat. Anyone else up for this idea?

Shots taken with the Sony A850 with the Sony 70-200G F2.8 SSM during a private modeling session on an auto show. Due to cloudy weather thus I had decided to process the shots into B&W to compensate for the bad lighting. Spice things up with some red lips~=D Enjoy and feel free to comment~

Picked up my Loxia 50mm today and took a few quick shots. Oh my! Instantly my favorite lens for the A7R (and I suspect it will be for my A7MkII as well). In my 45 years of photography I have literally shot 100's of manual and auto focus primes (Leica, Zeiss, Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Minolta, etc.), and IMHO the Loxia 50 is as good overall as any of them and much better than most. I have the Sony/Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 "baby Otus" and love it as well (largely for its wide aperture sharpness), but it makes more clinical images compared to the classic rendering of the Loxia. The Loxia balances perfectly on the A7R. The lens is mechanical perfection. Focus is easier and faster than any other MF lens I've ever used, especially with the A7R auto zoom in feature when you turn the focus ring. Colors are amazing. A tad soft in the extreme corners when I shot a brick wall wide open as you would suspect, but otherwise very sharp and contrasty. Very, very usable in real life straight from f/2. Wow--can't wait for the Loxia 85mm and 25mm !!!
