  1. Is there a way, or a setting I'm missing that will make the the focus distance when manual focusing, stay constant after a power cycle? I know this seems like a fussy issue to most, but when you do complex still like setups that require multiple exposures that need to be in perfect register for compositing in post, it can be a major issue. Ideas? I cant find anything online about this.
  2. Hello there, i am a new member of this forum. Just wondering if anyone can give me a suggestion. I tested my Sony a7ii with MF Canon FDn 500mm f/4.5 L lens, mounted on a CF tripod (Sirui N-2204), steady shot set at 500mm then shot on and off both mode, shutter speed around 1/800 to 1/1500 but can not get a sharp image. I even can see on the magnified LCD (without touching anything) the picture is not stable, kind of vibrating. Is it camera problem or Tripod? Please help me.Thank you.
  3. I 've just received my LA-EA3 lens adaptor and tested my long waited Sigma A mount lenses but I 've been having trouble with the focusing. Sigma 35mm f1.4 Art works perfectly with both phase detection mode and contrast AF mode. Sigma 50mm f1.4 Art cannot focus at all, it jumps between closest focal point and 4 feet. Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 DG seems to be able to set a focal point but is out of focus. Does anyone has any of the problems? What would be the problem? The lenses or the camera? Would a firmware update on the camera or the lens fix those issues? Please help!~
  4. I noticed at a Track Meet this past weekend that the A7II with the kit lens FE 28-75 f3.5-5.6 was much better at Tracking The Hurdler Coming straight at me than the A Mount lenses (Zeiss 24-70 f2.8 T and Sigma 70-200 f 2.8 HSM) with a Sony LA-EA4 adapter. In a better way of saying this The FE Sony lens kept the Hurdler in focus for as long as I held the shutter. The A Mount lenses kept the subject focus for maybe 3 seconds and then the subject went out of focus as it got close. I guess I will have to invest in more FE Sony lenses? I have used the A Mount Lenses with the A7II at other photo shoots and they performed quite well. Especially Basketball. Any thought or ideas would be appreciated.
