  1. If shooting video manual focus works best so you can focus shift. Set focus to manual in the body.
  2. I use A7rii bodies for documentary work and they do wonderfully. The A7s gets great reviews as well.
  3. I see no problem either. It's a bit messy due to the out-of-focus leaves in front of your subject but the lens is doing what it should.
  4. I always use an external power supply when shooting documentaries or doing any day-long video shoots. Never a problem. You have to make sure your amperage is high enough to keep your camera from overheating. That looks fine but I've not tested it.
