I have some 28mm lenses. The SMC Pentax-A 28mm 2.8 and the older SMC-Pentax-M 28mm are very sharp on mid apertures and cheap. But the Minolta MD Rokkor 28 3.5 is my pick. It's very sharp even wide open, at least my sample is.

The SMC Pentax-M 135 F3.5 is an extremely sharp lens if in good condition, I really love mine.

I would go for a more modern design like the Rokinon 12mm F2 or the Laowa 9mm Zero-D

Minolta W-Rokkor NL 21mm F2.8. It's superb and extremely rectilinear. Avoid the Mamiya-Sekor 21mm F4. It's not shatp wide open.

There are lots of excellent macros around: - Tamron SP 90mm F2.5 Macro, in Adaptall-2 mount, extremely sharp - SMC Pentax-M 50mm F4 Macro - Minolta MD Rokkor 100mm F3.5 Macro All superb and cheap.

My pick is the Minolta MD Rokkor 50mm F2. The image quality is outstanding (It's a Leica Summicron derivative) Second choice would be the FD Canon 50mm F1.4 SSC. It's extremely sharp. I probably tested something about 30 lenses and the two above mentioned lenses are superb and, believe me, cheap.

Hello ! This is my first port in this forum ? I would suggest you the Carl Zeiss Sonnar 85mm F2, in Rollei QBM mount. It's an excellent lens and it's virtually half the cost of the Contax/Yashica mount version. I got mine for $80. Probably not THE sharpest lens but still very good. Another excellent choice is the Tamron SP 90mm F2.5 Macro (adaptall mount). This lens is extremely sharp and believe it or not, cheap.
